In response to the Covid-19 emergency, Dunbeath Surgery has issued the following important information with regards to consultations, prescriptions and advice if you are unwell with symptoms of Covid-19 symptoms. For more updates please check the Dunbeath Surgery Facebook page.
If you are UNWELL with symptoms of Covid-19, please call 111 and not the surgery. If you phone the surgery, you will be asked to phone 111 instead. For any other medical issues for which you feel you need to speak to the GP, then please phone the surgery.
Due to the current situation, all consultations will initially be done by telephone call with the Doctor, or nurse, where appropriate. If it is then felt that you need to be seen, then this will be arranged. The reception staff will ask for a brief outline of your problem to help put your call to the most appropriate person and ensure you are called back in a timely manner.
- Currently our suppliers are struggling to get items to us the next day, as a result of this it means we may not have some of your prescribed items within the usual 48 hour time scale. We would be grateful when ordering if you could give us 3 or even 4 days notice from ordering to picking up prescriptions and if you currently have items ordered and are unable to wait 3 working days please call before making the journey to pick up.
Please remember, if you have a COUGH and/or high temperature/fever DO NOT COME TO THE SURGERY. Look at https://www.nhsinform.scot/…/infection…/coronavirus-covid-19
for advice on what to do.- For the safety of patients and staff, can repeat prescription requests please be put in the postbox at the front door, or requested online. Please do not come in to the surgery to hand in your prescription request.
